Containing Pakistan

All civilisations have invariably inhabited on the plains or nearby the sources of water. All nations have their arrangements for water supply. Countries like Israel have innovated to make drinking water out of the saline sea water. 

Indus Water Treaty brokered nearly 6 decades ago between India & Pakistan has many clauses which with in the Treaty give India wide variety of choices, rights to use maximum water for India. 

Why we never exercised our rights till date is unexplainable? At least now we can do that without abrogating the treaty. 

And to do that would require years because India will have to build dams to poundage the water harness its route to irrigate the land in the state of Jammu & Kadmir which has been till date deprived of using its own water resources. 

Yes even spelling out exerting our rights to use our water resources can send symbolic signal to Pakistan. 

Also the Indian government needs to call of all meetings with Pakistan on the Indus water treaty as these meetings too aren't mandatory in nature. 

Nevertheless the exerting our right of defence to protect ourselves against terrorist violence should be liberally exercised and a compatible offensive of military response in time must be unfailingly exercised to contain Pakistan. 

Let us not depend on the international community to seek their approval before exercising any of our rights including our right of preemptive defence in protecting India's integrity. 

As a first step India must immediately declare Pakistan a rogue and terrorist state. 

Acronym of India : India Now Dares Its Aggressors

Uri terrorist attack in which 18 of our brave soldiers were martyred, has made India take Pakistan head on. India has under Prime Minister MODI taken tough stand against Pakistan's shameless and violent interference in India's internal affairs. However public anger is continuing to simmer because as stated by the PM the entire Indian citizenry is agitated and grievously hurt after Uri terrorist attack. The Government of the day is definitely different from the previous Congress led Regimes and definitely much will certainly follow be it on the diplomatic front or the military front. Let's give freedom to the powers that be to decide the oppurtune time of OUR CHOOSING. AFTER ALL NO MILITARY ACTION IS WIDELY ADVERTISED BEFORE IT US EXECUTED. Let's wait and patiently observe the future course of events.

Shaktiman the symbol of silent voiceless sufferer as victim of human brutality. 

It's not the issue of BJP or Congress for that matter any political party. The issue at hand is the unanimous condemnation by entire India on the maiming of Shaktiman who held inspector's rank in the Uttarakhand police. 

Shaktiman had served usefully at Kumbh Mela for controlling crowds. Shaktiman's leg had to be amputated due to blockage of blood supply to the injured leg and the spread of gangrene as a result of severe injuries which have maimed and incapacitated the beautiful horse. 

Entire nation prayed for Shaktiman and emotionally stressed due to the irreversible severe injuries. 

Simultaneously the entire nation was perturbed at the shameless denial by those who were responsible for incapacitating the beautiful white horse. 

This unfortunate incident has surfaced the unified emotive response from the various strata of India's civil society. This incident exposes the urgent need to amend the Prevention of cruelty to Animals Act. Under the present provisions the act provides the paltry  penalty of ₹50/- only against the accused if he is held guilty. Painful sight to watch clips of Shaktiman struggling to stand up and fall because of broken leg. 

What sort of brutal mentality one must have to senselessly maim an innocent animal? Brutality seems to be a weak expression to epistle such a barbarous heartless violence against peaceful voiceless animal. There's urgent need to redraft the relevant act and propose much harsher punishments to the offenders who hurt and injure animals. 

Our Karmas(कर्म)

प्राचीन काल कर्म: बलवान। मुनियों वदन्ती। 

Our actions from even our past births also bind us, said the Sages. 

This isn't merely the religious philosophy. This is the time tested theory of  Karma propounded by the sages, saints and traditional religious heads of all the known religious faiths.  There's a science of human blessings that if you do good to anyone it comes back to you 1000 fold. Similarly bad Karma's also have a reverse rebounding affecting our lives. 

Even if we contemplate or even think about doing any thing that our inner conscience revolts against He the Almighty is constantly watching us and we should always 'pay heed'  to our inner voice. It's this inner voice of ours that's our conscience. Our conscience is our God. He the Almighty dwells in us, in every living being. 

The moment we realise this incontrovertible truth, we start racing towards God's realisation. 

Our thinking and our actions should always be in harmony with our inner self. Whenever this balance of compatibility of our thoughts and actions aren't  aligned with our inner consciousness, we stumble upon paths of misdeeds and our good Karmas take a back seat and that's where are disillusionment starts that nobody is watching us. 

Almighty has always given us the freedom of our actions. He doesn't interfere with our actions but His supreme WILL prevails when results of those actions materialise. 

All religious faiths have one message to the mankind. Do good and be good. Let's all benefit from the science of human blessings. Anything done by the blessings of the Almighty will ultimately be compatible with our inner consciousness and speed up our journey to meeting our Master who is the ultimate truth.

US Vs THEM debates in the parliament.

Ever since the MODI led NDA government took charge the debate of US Vs THEM has become the central debating point both in the parliament and also on TV channels prime time debates. 

Of course at times the US Vs THEM becomes a necessity when those in the governance and the opposition stress upon " WE DID IT" 

The most unfortunate part is when Congress led UPA now in the opposition claims that many schemes which they had perceived or thought off or introduced are being copied by the NDA 

This childish self acclaimed assertions by the opposition claiming "We did it....." and prompt compatible response by the NDA emphasising that it's during NDA period the things have started to move faster and better efficaciously. 

In this melee of US Vs THEM  the current issues of ensuring accountability in the current matters, issues affecting the country have taken a back seat. 

Even Prime Minister has in recent speech on thanks motion debate on President's address while replying to leader of the Opposition stated that in this Us Vs Them debate often resulting in unfortunate disruption of the Parliament stated that in this peculiar non functioning of the Parliament the accountability of the government officials is obscured to the detriment of the nation. 

We have to face the facts. The present NDA led government has to constitutionally run the affairs of the nation till its tenure in 2019. 

Let them work unhindered, unobstructed as per law. Let there be more debates on economic policies, national priorities rather than unfruitful voice decibels wasted  on "intolerance" etc. 

No purpose would be served by discussing the past shortcomings. It's time we live in the moment of present awareness. 

The Government of the day too would do well to engage itself on pre poll promises made in the heat of the electoral heat. 

Role of the opposition in the Parliament; need for review on the boycott of Parliament as a protest.

It all started during the UPA regime when NDA didn't allow the parliament to function as a mark of protest against the government of the day. 

Now with the transfer of power to NDA after may 2014 elections the roles have reversed. Now the congress led opposition is not allowing the parliament to function as a gesture of protesting against certain governmental actions or inactions. 

No doubt two wrongs don't make one right. The manner of protests both by NDA led opposition and now congress led opposition is wrong and not in the best interests of our country. Not allowing the parliament to function goes against the very tenets of parliamentary democracy. Parliamentary debates are the right for efficacious functioning of the democracy. 

What purpose would be served in not allowing the parliament to function? Besides waste of exchequer of tax payer's money, many important legislative actions are inordinately delayed. 

It's time we all get serious about running the parliament. It's time the government too listens to the opposition and consults them on all important issues affecting the nation. It's time when the opposition too questions the governmental actions on the floor of the Parliament House which is relayed throughout the nation for the citizens to understand. 

Our law makers are all dedicated leaders from all over india and they do understand the necessity of debates and constructive criticism. Long live india

Debate on intolerance

The whole debate on the intolerance ever since MODI Government has taken over after 2014 general 

elections smacks of inability of the powers that lost governance to digest the rise of right wing BJP with its allies that is NDA

Yes there are condemnable fringe elements in the entire political spectrum and such elements have to be contained and constricted with a firm hand whether they belong to left, centre or right wings of the political dispensations. 

Under no circumstances anti national sloganeering and demonstrations can be allowed to spoil the peace and tranquility of the nation. 

However Laws of sedition need to be reviewed and peaceful protests against poor governance can't be termed as seditious though present laws permit even criticism of the government also punishable under IPC for sedition. 

The demonstrations elugulising the terrorists have to covered under the sedition laws. Debate on whether to have capital punishment of death penalty can be allowed as different citizens hold diametrically opposite views to the existing laws. 

No citizen can be allowed unfettered freedom to spew venomous innuendos against the state attacking the sovereignty and integrity of the nation. 

Peculiarly the ongoing debate on " intolerance " is motivated and manufactured to destabilise and defame the lawfully elected government. 

The government has to run its course of elected tenure unhindered. Opposition too has had an incremental contribution to spoil the peaceful environment. 

India should progress ahead. Government too needs to be sensitive to people's aspirations. Though charges levelled by the opposition are farther from truth those in the governance have be cautious about perceptions generated by the opposition propaganda. 

In this surcharged environment the government must reign in the fringe elements supporting its ideology and crossing the lines of democratic tolerance amidst politically surcharged environment.

Parental role the paradigm shift

Best thing to happen to us all are our dear parents. We womb out into this beautiful world, and are indebted to our dear mother. Our growth owes permanent debt to our dear parents. There is no friendship, no love, like that of the parent for the child. While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about. 

As parents get older, attempts to hold on to our independence can be at odds with even the most well-intentioned “suggestions” from our children. We want to be cared about, but fear being cared for. Hence the push and pull when a well-meaning offspring steps onto our turf.  

So what are older parents looking for in relationships with their adult children? They define themselves as independent but hope that children’s help will be available as needed. They are annoyed by children’s overprotectiveness but appreciate the concern it expresses. They use a variety of strategies to deal with their ambivalent feelings, such as minimizing the help they receive, ignoring or resisting children’s attempts to control. 

Understanding why parents may be “insisting, resisting, or persisting in their ways or opinions,”  can lead to better appreciation of the relationship. 

Importance of parents in life is depending on our sanskar and thinking. Parents play biggest role in our development. They play important role in our mental, physical, social, financial and career development. They help us in every step of our life. Parents are most precious gift of God for humans. When we are happy then they are happy. They slapped on us when we done wrong. In time of mistakes they are like a teacher. They trained us very hard style for the future challenges. Parents are living for us. They are real God and our first teacher. 

The generational gaps have incrementally reduced the distance between grandparental and parental interference in the children's affairs. Besides the active engagements with smartphones have literally obliterated the interactive interface between children and their parents. 

Ignoring the wisdom the elderly has become a fashion today. Of course the younger generation has a lot to experiment with, to rise in this world.  

Subverting the due process of law

Irshat Jahan case for all the twists and turns that it has taken has exposed the top leadership of the then Government of the day to shameful manipulation of facts by engineering evidence with the help of pliable psychopant officials by suppressing and torturing the honest officials of the country's top most rung of intelligence gathering departments and coercing the brave officers into signing on the dotted lines. The issue isn't one of fake encounter as the focus shifts on whether such vital information was suppressed from the Nation that Irshat Jahan was an active L E. T. operative. 

If yes then those guilty of suppressing this vital information need to be brought to justice. 

As is evident from the interviews given by the MHA, Intelligence and other police officials who were at the relevant time in the know of the things, it becomes unambiguously clear that truth was suppressed and falsehood was spread by those in power at that time. Not only Indian even foreign intelligence agencies like FBI too had exposed the link between the slain terrorists with L. E. T 

What were the consideration for ignoring and suppressing the credible intelligence reports?

This issue raises another very sensitive point of right to preemptive strike against the terrorists and the terrorist groups. Guidelines will have to be laid strictly defining the circumstances under which the right to preemptive strike can be permitted by the law making the encounter under exceptional circumstances lawful when the sovereignty and integrity of India is at stake. 

As it is also there are laws under which terrorists are dealt with. Nevertheless a separate law is necessarily desirable to deal with the terrorism which has grown into menacing proportions. India first. Long live India

Art of saying No

Why do you say yes when you want to say no. Our problems start when while wanting to say No, we consciously end up in the affirmative by saying Yes. 

Why it happens? 

Is it because you don't want to annoy or upset the person to whom you wanted to say No? 

Is it because you weren't sure of yourself? A timely correct answer expressing your willingness or unwilling to do or not to do a particular act can save you the embarrassment of not doing it ultimately and the unpleasant procrastinating of the issue can be avoided. 

One should be slow in promising and quick in honouring the promises made. In excitement never make a promise. Reeling out promises with every breath may ultimately earn one the reputation of unreliable, untrustworthy and dubious personality. 

There's good old saying that one can always make tall promises knowing fully well the he may not be called upon to fulfill it. Our innate potential should be greater than the promises we make.

A promise made is a debt unpaid. There's an African proverb which states " A promise is a cloud; fulfilment is rain" Never ever forget a promise made by you.  One must have a good memory to be able to keep the promises that one makes.

Nationalism at cross roads. That's what has come to haunt our liberals, partriots, law makers, students, the common man and of course the intelligentsia. Is it real? What is sedition? Whether anti national sloganeering constitutes ingredients to make one liable to the serious charges of sedition? If not then what charges do the offenders face? Is it in national interest to seek dismemberment of the very country which makes you feel free as proud citizen? If not how to deal with such elements who raise slogans to seek revenge for the hanging terrorists who were tried and hanged after undergoing due process of established laws for a fair trial? Whether seditious or otherwise no country can tolerate propaganda intended to harm the integrity and sovereignty of the country. Whether laws on sedition need to be changed as they are very old laws? What is free speech? Whether our constitution which guarantees free speech has rightly put fetters in the form reasonable restrictions on the free speech?

One can criticise the governance standards of the lawfully elected democratic government. The criticism has to be constructive which will ultimately serve the well being of the state. To that extent only the laws relating to sedition need to be reviewed by the Lawmakers. However acting in a manner which endangers the sovereignty and integrity of our Nation, jeopardising our security and safety as a nation, has to be termed as an act of war against India and subjected to severe penal actions as per our Laws. 

No nation can survive if its citizens disrespect its laws, commend acts against the state, act against the sovereignty and integrity of the state, wage war against the state and all such harmful acts have to be brought under the charges of sedition. Nation first. Long live India
